ATALANTA KNATCHBULL is a native of England. In her youth she briefly studied painting but did not pursue it while she raised her children. Atalanta moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2001 and she quickly began to pick up the brush again, focusing on portrait work. Atalanta continues to live in the Cave Creek area and works out of her spacious studio/home. She is always inspired by the old masters, including Rembrandt, Ingres, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Carravaggio. Other influences include John Singer Sargent and Philip de Laslo.
